S. Sands-Stimac

Early on my professional journey, long before Stimac Youths & Associates existed, I faced a turning point that could have ended my entire career. I was working in an environment filled with pressure, uncertainty, and constant change. The workload was heavy, communication was broken, and the support I needed simply wasn’t there.

One day, after weeks of frustration and emotional exhaustion, I found myself ready to walk away. I was seconds from quitting—ready to step out of the office and never return. Had I done that, I would have become another statistic.

Another professional with talent, drive, and potential choosing to disappear because of stress, burnout, and lack of support. Another change victim.

But I didn’t quit.

Instead, something in me shifted. I woke up one morning and made a decision: what I was feeling wasn’t a sign to give up, it was a sign that I was standing in a moment of opportunity.

That moment became the foundation of Stimac. It became the reason I help people today who feel overwhelmed, overlooked, discouraged, or stuck in their career journey.

Through Stimac’s workshops, coaching, and job-placement support, I teach individuals what I had to learn the hard way— how to turn frustration into fuel, how to build confidence during change, and how to see yourself not as a victim of circumstances, but as the creator of your next chapter.
